Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer || Book Review

My Rating :⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 💕

“We're all united by grief, and somehow divided by the same thing.”

PLOT: Juliet Young writes letters to her mother even after she dies. It's the only way she knows how to grieve. Declan Murphy is doing community service at a cemetery when he finds one of those letters. He reads it and writes back. What follows is an anonymous exchange.

But they aren't exactly strangers.

This is the result of well thought out Contemporary Romance, unlike many cheesy books that give the ick of a non-existent plot.

This book is a god send

“One day isn't your whole life. A day is just a day.”

The plot is engaging, the idea of exchanging letters and with plot twists (yes is a romance novel).

All the characters were fleshed out pretty, Declan, Juliet, Rowan, Rev, their parents, Teachers. All the characters had an actual purpose.

Declan’s and Juliet’s character arcs deserve a mention. Their growth from a depressed teen to a sensible Young Adult together is honestly inspiring.

The writing is top-notch,feels very honest and realistic.

“I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.”

Romance is truly so good. It shows what Love actually is - understanding and it's just so heart warming and sweet.

More important is that Romance is actually sub-plot here, *ppl have Better problems than finding their soul mate*

BEST ROMANCE NOVEL OF ALL TIME
